What to expect at a 10,000 Trees Event?
-
All events are free and open to the public. Feel free to invite your friends and family and attend as a group!
-
Events usually last 3 hours. If you are only able to make part of an event, we encourage you to sign up for another event and to allow others the opportunity to attend instead.
-
Registration is required through Eventbrite. Each adult must sign up for their own ticket. Youth under 18 do not require a ticket but must be accompanied by an adult with a ticket.
-
Tickets are limited based on the size of the planting area and the number of trees we have available.
-
We only plant native trees! Native trees support native wildlife. All trees are native to southern Ontario and are selected to mimic a native forest habitat.
-
No experience is required! A 10,000 Trees volunteer will demonstrate proper tree planting technique at the start of the event.
-
Bring your own shovel and a 5 gallon bucket. We will have extra shovels if you need one.
-
Plant as many trees as you like. But one well-planted tree will always be better than 10 poorly planted trees.
Can't make it to a planting? Support 10,000 Trees by making a donation today.
